Here are a few things to take note of when wind riding:
When the urge comes up, don't let it go. Don't put it off for some other day just because your phone and your organizers are nagging at you.
Pick a friend. Disregard those with whom you regularly spend your weekends, that friend you call in the middle of the night when you've had an asthma attack or a nightmare of your boss devouring papers of your hard work, or someone with whom you are romantically linked. You can't let a shiny red balloon get in the way. Call him/her up and demand that he/she be there that instant. You'll know you're talking to a wind rider if he/she says yes.
Think of the soonest possible time within the day to wind ride. If the answer is "now", get your ass out the door.
Don't care about your hair.
Do not do anything to excess. Don't eat, spend, drink too much.
Do not bring your car, even if you think of suddenly going to the beach. Commute. Walk if you can.
Bring some music with you, a book, a pen and paper. Bring a camera. (still or video, your pick. this is the only time when you can legitimately take a picture of yourself because you're having genuine fun and not when you're narcisistic and bored.)
Don't care if you haven't taken a bath.
Only ask "what next?" after you've done one thing. Do not lay out any itinerary.
If you see mani, mangga or little candies that have memories with them, buy some and consume slowly.
You want that trinket? it's just 20 pesos. buy it.
Laugh.
Laugh some more.
Give that kid a peso, or some of the mani or candy that you just bought.
Do not go home until the wind takes you home. You'll feel it, it will tell you.
